Focusing on educator job satisfaction and retention. This session includes findings from the Utah Educator Exit and Engagement surveys, Stay interviews, and ULEAD principal surveys. Participants will discuss survey report highlights, and explore possible actions to respond to and address issues, improving job satisfaction, and ultimately impacting student outcomes.

The Utah SEEd Standards have ushered in a new vision for science education, emphasizing three-dimensional learning and student engagement in authentic scientific practices. But how can principals ensure this vision is being realized in their classrooms? This session provides the answer. Participants will explore the 3-Dimensional Science Observation Rubric, a cutting-edge tool designed to evaluate effective science instruction. Through hands-on activities and analysis of classroom examples, principals will learn to identify key indicators of high-quality science teaching and provide targeted support for continuous improvement.
