About me
Katrina Herd has a dual BA in Early Childhood and Elementary education, a master’s in education with an emphasis in early numeracy, and she holds a current dual Utah teaching license in PK-3 and 1-8 grades with a TESOL endorsement. Katrina completed her doctorate degree in Educational Leadership and Policy through the University of Utah in 2020. Her research interests center on school choice and homeschooling in Utah. As a result of her research, she has made authentic family engagement an anchor to all her work, and she actively pursues ways to build positive relationships between families and schools. Katrina and her exceptionally supportive husband have 2 incredibly creative children and 1 very aloof cat who is always hungry. She loves the Pacific Northwest, chocolate, and all things glitter.
